Privacy Policy

Build Radar ("we") provides building-permit lead intelligence compiled from public Maryland county records. This policy explains what we collect from you as a user of the service and how we handle it.

What we collect

• Account information — your email address and a password (stored and secured by our authentication provider, Supabase). If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address from Google.
• Usage events — first-party analytics such as page views, sign-ups, and upgrade clicks, stored in our own database. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
• Request forms — if you ask for a free sample or early access, the name, email, company and details you enter, so we can send it to you. We use it only to reply to you about Build Radar.
• Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we receive only subscription status.
• Communications — emails you send us, and your alert preferences if you configure them.

About the permit data itself

The permit records shown in the product (owner names, addresses, contractor details, project descriptions) come from public government records published by Maryland county permitting offices. We compile and organize them; we do not create them. If a public permit record contains your information and you would like it suppressed from our product, email us and we will handle your request promptly.

How we use your information

• To provide and secure the service (authentication, tier access, alerts you request).
• To understand product usage and improve the service (first-party analytics).
• To send transactional email — account, billing, and the permit alerts you configure. We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers

We use a small set of processors to run the service: Supabase (database, authentication), Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting), and Resend (email delivery). Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.

Retention & deletion

Account data is kept while your account is active. Email [email protected] to delete your account and associated personal data.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS); data access is controlled with row-level security. No method of storage is 100% secure, but we follow current industry practice.

We may update this policy as the product evolves; the date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be noted on this page.
